영상은 엄마의 납골땅에 아빠와 함께 방문하는 장면으로 시작됩니다. 점심 식사를 하고 한 강가에 서서 아빠는 '섬에 들어가서 암마와 단둘이 사는 삶을 꿈꿨다.' 이야기 해주었습니다. 저는 아빠의 꿈 속에 있는 그 집을 상상했습니다. '어쩌면 내가 그 집에 놀러가서 며칠을 지낼 수 있었을지도 모른다. 과거의 일, 상상 속의 장소, 간직하고 있는 꿈...' ​ 책이 나오기 전 친구인 인애와 용웅, 도현 그리고 가족인 아빠에게 미리 완성된 원고를 우편으로 보내낸 뒤 그것을 먼저 읽어주기를 부탁했습니다. 우리는 몇 주 뒤 다시 만나 책에 대한 이야기를 나누었고 그들 각자가 낭독하고 싶어하는 문장을 각자의 목소리를 내어 읽었으며 그 시간을 영상으로 담아 북트레일러로 제작했습니다.

「Greetings Are Brief, but We Part for a Long Time」 Atnoon Books, Book Trailer, 30:00, 2024 The video begins with a visit to my mother’s burial site with my father. After lunch, we stand by a river, and he tells me that he once dreamed of living alone with my mother on an island. I imagined the house in his dream. Perhaps I could have visited that house and stayed there for a few days. I thought about the past, imagined places, and the dreams we keep with us. Before the book was published, I mailed the completed manuscript to my friends Inae, Yongung, and Dohyun, and to my father, and asked them to read it first. A few weeks later, we met again to talk about the book. Each of them read aloud a passage they wanted to share, in their own voice. I recorded that time on video and made it into a book trailer.
